Now Hiring- Communications Lead

The AZOHC exists to create meaningful discussions and impactful change to address oral health disparities throughout Arizona. We are seeking a passionate individual to grow coalition reach and influence in the digital space. The Communications Lead is a critical part of the coalition Leadership Team.  

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Work with the coalition coordinator and other leads to meet communications needs for project deliverables.
  • Research, write, and distribute monthly Coalition newsletter.
  • Maintain Coalition website with direction from Coalition leadership.
  • Manage Coalition Facebook account by scheduling project-related posts, managing Coalition event pages, and responding to inquiries.
  • Develop Coalition marketing materials and collateral (general and project-based)

Who you are

An ideal candidate will: 

  • Embrace and promote the mission of the AZOHC but does not need to be an oral health subject matter expert.
  • Have experience with:
    • email marketing platforms (especially Mailchimp)
    • digital marketing on social media (especially Facebook/Meta)
    • Canva, Pictochart, or other graphic design programs. 
  • Have basic WordPress skills (example- using a template webpage, editing existing pages, or changing menu items).
  • Demonstrate a strong proficiency in writing.
  • Maintain a strong sense of accountability and reliability when working in a collaborative setting.
  • Have occasional availability on evenings or weekends for virtual team meetings

The AZOHC is a statewide coalition with logistic/material support from Children’s Action Alliance, located in Phoenix. This is a virtual position with occasional, optional in-person events across the state (primarily in Phoenix). 

This is a stipend position to begin on/or around July 1, 2024 through June 30th, 2025, with potential to extend on a yearly basis (July-June) contingent upon grant funding.


The Communications Lead will receive a $6,000 stipend for this work, paid in four installments of $1500 each quarter in year one. The expected time commitment of the role is approximately 20 hours per month. The work will continue through June of 2025. The Communications role will receive a stipend of $6000 for the total work
